Oh, the Possibilities

I left my apartment at 08:26am and pulled up to work at 09:21am. That's 55minutes I spent in my car. Route taken: 580 South to 238 West, to 880 South to Stevenson Exit.

What I did: Looked at the rear ends of cars, listened to NPR and Jazz 91.

When I have taken BART it has taken me about 45minutes from door step to door step... That's 90 minutes of free time.

I could be: reading, journaling, catching up on the phone, listening to music, watching the scenery pass me by.

  1. That's definitely what I hate about driving. Ultimately it comes down to convenience and independence vs. being environmentally friendly and saving time and money.

  2. You're awesome, Sirina. I've been biking to/from work, but since daylight savings ended I haven't been as consistent, which I lament. It takes an hour one-way when I bike the whole way, and 45 minutes if I BART. I like people watching on BART, and I really appreciate that there are 'bike priority' zones where you can stash your bike against the wall in transit.

Have you found buyers for your car? My co-worker is looking for a car currently. I can put you guys in touch if you want.
